ACE LED BULB PACKAGING REFRESH (2014 + 2017)
FOR NON-DOMESTIC REGIONS
CHALLENGE: Develop packaging for the International, Latin America and MENA (Middle East/North Africa) markets that increase shopability by providing more information on package.
SOLUTION/CONTRIBUTION: Project Design Lead/Production. Developed cleaner packaging that highlighted most important features. Used color blocking to quickly distinguish color temperature. Black feature band on front and hang tab differentiates bulbs with dimming capabilities. Modified icons to illustrate type and color temp of bulb all in one chart. Incandescent wattage equivalent deemed more important to consumer than the LED wattage of bulb, so therefore that number became more prominent. Additional icons showing application for bulb type added. French removed altogether during second refresh and an alternate English-only version was developed for some stores in the MENA region where non-Arabic containing packaging was viewed as a superior product.
